Nobody joins without an invitation from an administrator. Deactivate someone who leaves and they are signed out at once.

Owners decide which countries people can sign in from.
A record you can verify
A built-in admin activity log records sign-ins, role changes, channel changes and file downloads, and an admin can check it has not been altered.
Retention you set
Keep messages forever or set a window from 30 days to ten years.
Passkeys and a second step
Staff can sign in with a passkey. Owners can require a second step for everyone and passkeys for administrators.
Outside the staff
Volunteers and contractors, with limits.
- Guests see only the channels you add them to, and their access ends on a date you set.
- Roles keep administration with the people who should have it: owner, admin, member and guest.
- Sessions can be reviewed and ended remotely, and idle sessions expire on their own.
